Throughout my career, I've met countless clients who believed they would never be able to wear eyelash extensions again due to sensitivities or reactions to traditional adhesives. I was determined to find a solution that would allow more clients to enjoy lash extensions while raising the standard of education within our industry.
 
The Opal Free System represents a new generation of lash technology. What is the Opal Free System?
The Opal Free System is an innovative eyelash extension system designed for clients who may be sensitive to traditional lash adhesives. It uses a specialised cyanoacrylate-free adhesive that is cured using the Opal series 2 400 nm violet light, creating a strong, flexible bond in just a few seconds.
 
Unlike conventional lash adhesives, Opal Free contains no cyanoacrylate, making it a unique alternative for clients who have experienced irritation or sensitivity with traditional lash extension adhesives. While no lash adhesive can be guaranteed to prevent allergic reactions, Opal Free offers an additional option for clients who may not have been suitable candidates for eyelash extensions in the past.
 
As the adhesive is cured using light rather than moisture in the air, it is also not affected by changes in humidity and temperature. This provides greater consistency during application and allows you to work with complete control over when the adhesive cures.

Safety You Can Trust
Client safety has always been at the heart of the Opal Free System. The light-cured technology has been developed specifically for professional use and is used in conjunction with the Opal 400 nm violet light, which has been tested to recognised photobiological safety standards, including EN 62471, when used according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
 
The Opal Free adhesive has been carefully formulated to be free from cyanoacrylate, latex, PMMA, carbon black, formaldehyde fumes and is plant based offering an innovative alternative to traditional lash extension adhesives. Combined with the controlled light-curing process, this creates a consistent, reliable bond while giving the lash artist complete control over when the adhesive cures.
